Jun 28, 2021 · In rare cases, a dirty or pinched hose can be responsible for windscreen washer system malfunction on Vauxhall Astra. To diagnose, first open the hood and pull the end of the hose out of a windshield washer nozzle, and then turn on the washer system. You should see the fluid gushing out of the hose.
Jul 12, 2023 · Pull the pump unit from the bottom of the washer fluid reservoir, clean out the screen and if available, use compressed air to clean out the washer fluid lines going to the wipers. Cheap patent windshield washer solutions cause biofilm slime growth in the reservoir and tubes. HOT water will denature the biofilm.
Jan 10, 2010 · Windscreen washers not working. Hopefully you can help with this. My windscreen washers have stopped working. I pull back the stick and the wipers go but no jets. Have topped up the tank with pure windscreen wash so assume it is not frozen. But there is no noise of the washer motor working.

The first thing to check is the washer nozzle for clogging. An obstruction in it, might be the reason for sprayers not working. Using a pin, clean the clogged nozzle. This might restore the sprayer to the normal working condition. Washer Motor. The windshield washer mechanism might have been impaired due to the malfunctioning of the washer motor.

No noise when activating it just the wipers moving. Before I go to the dealers (under warranty,although they may say the cold weather has affected it and not covered).
